This letter to Ann, daughter of Mary Makinson who also received such notification during 1916 concerning her husband, Ann's father (see William Makinson)

The Commanding Officer of 57 Squadron, RAF Feltwell;

Wing Commander 37207 Murrey Vernon Peters-Smith DFC

whom signed the above letter dated 4th April 1942

sadly made the ultimate sacrifice himself shortly afterwards on

Monday 27th July 1942 and remembered at

Grave 26.J.12 in Becklingen War Cemetery, Germany.
